OUR VISION

Cultivate donors for life for the betterment of their communities and world.

WHERE AUSTIN’S PHILANTHROPY CURRENTLY STANDS

Citizen Generation strongly believes that with an active and philanthropic community, the city will excel in all areas. The Chronicle of Philanthropy’s recent list of “Generosity in America’s 50 Biggest Cities,” Austin is ranked the 32nd. According to the Office of Mayor Lee Leffingwell, Austin is ranked 41st in volunteering.

WHY CITIZEN GENERATION

Citizen Generation is centered on the belief that in order to make our city the best place to live, play, and work, all individuals should be active in the betterment of their community.

HOW WE DO IT

Citizen Generation is continuously looking at ways to engage people in philanthropy and citizenship. Our focus is on you, what you like to do and learn, and using that activity to benefit a good cause. Through our programs CharityBash, CharityLadies, CharityLunch, and CharityVolunteers, we are making philanthropy and community involvement fun, affordable, and accessible. Together, we are a new generation, one of active citizens making a positive change.

RESEARCH

“Though these donors may not become high value until later in life, using resources to acquire young donors now will help prevent your organization from being confined to a small portion of the giving population in the future.” – Grizzard Communications Group, 2009 Donor Survey
