Alex Winkelman, Executive Director
Alex founded Citizen Generation in 2009 after seeing many needs in the Austin and from her desire to involve the next generation in philanthropy. Outside of work, Alex involves herself in many causes, sitting on the boards of Mexic-Arte Museum and The Long Center and volunteering for Austin Pets Alive!, Ballet Austin, Center for Child Protection, and Emancipet to name a few. Alex was recently named a 2012 Woman of Distinction by the Girl Scouts of Central Texas, was honored with the 2012 Anti-Defamation League’s Humanitarian Award with her family, and received the 2013 Hope Award from iACT.
Kathryn Hamilton, Community Manager
Kathryn was born and raised in San Antonio, where her love for philanthropy and event planning started. Since high school she has worked closely with the Battered Women & Children’s Shelter of Bexar County and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Central Texas. She currently sits on the CFF Rick Barnes Golf Classic board, which helps to raise money and awareness for individuals affected by Cystic Fibrosis. Kathryn graduated summa cum laude from St. Edward’s University in 2010 with a degree in Communications, specializing in Advertising and Public Relations.
